Pre-Trip Report: June 2022

After a looong 3 months (yeah, I know lol), we’re heading back down to Disney World! When my husband and I have active Annual Passes, we tend to do one week long (or more) trip and a couple long weekends sprinkled throughout the year. So this will be our long trip for this year - we’ll be there 8 days and 7 nights! We’re doing a split stay at the Yacht Club in a Club Level room (which is new for us!) and Pop Century. I wanted to do a few days at a Deluxe resort to take advantage of the Extended Evening Hours (enjoy extended park hours on select nights at select parks - exclusive to Deluxe guests! We did these back in November and almost everything was basically a walk on! So worth it.)

Basics:

  • Length of Stay: 8 days, 7 nights

  • Guests: 2 adults, Annual Passholders so we will be park hopping

  • Resort: Yacht Club / Pop Century

Day 1: Arrival day. We usually fly in pretty early - just personal preference! We like to get a full day in whether we divide between Disney Springs and a park or a full park day. We’re planning on spending our time at the resort during the Yacht Club leg of our trip so we can really enjoy the resort and all the amenities (and the Club Level Lounge!). We plan on walking over to EPCOT to fill up on Flower & Garden Festival food offerings and we’ll hang out until park close at 11 to enjoy the Extended Evening Hours.

Day 2: Planning on keeping this as a resort day. Yacht Club has one of the best pools on property (shared with Beach Club!) and I 100% plan on lounging around in the lazy river all day. After our pool day, we’re gonna head over to Hollywood Studios to have dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby.

Day 3: We’ll check out of Yacht Club, drop our bags off to be sent to our next resort, and transfer over to Pop Century. We have a lunch reservation at Sci Fi Dine In and we’ll probably hang out Hollywood Studios for a little bit. Since we’ll just be checking out that day from a Deluxe hotel, we’ll take advantage of the Extended Evening Hours once again - this time at Magic Kingdom!

Day 4: Going to start this day off at Animal Kingdom. Flight of Passage is one of my must dos so we may or may not rope drop that morning. We have a Sanaa reservation for lunch (bread service forever). We may hop to another park before heading over to Disney Springs for dinner.

Day 5: Starting off early with breakfast at a monorail resort and then we’ll go over to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon before heading over to Caribbean Beach for dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro. And then back over to Hollywood Studios and enjoy the evening vibes and hit Oga’s Cantina!

Day 6: Depending on whether we hit Flight of Passage on day 4 or not, planning for some time at Animal Kingdom this morning/doing a late morning and snacking around World Showcase at EPCOT. We’ll head back to Pop at some point and get ready for dinner at Topolino’s Terrace and skyline over to EPCOT for HarmonioUS, again! (we love fireworks)

Day 7: Very excited to have snagged a Space 220 Lounge reservation for this day! We’ll stroll around EPCOT and hop over to Magic Kingdom for the evening and watch Enchantment.

Day 8: Departure day :( I usually hit Disney Springs in the morning and have brunch, and get in the rest of our souvenir shopping before hopping on our plane back home.

Notes:

  • Gonna be hot hot hotttttt. I’m already sweating just thinking about it. I personally love the hot weather, but we’re definitely going to be taking some midday breaks (pool breaks/nap breaks/indoor meal breaks) to get some reprieve from the weather.

  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be open! Definitely trying to get on that at least once - and we’ll decide whether we do LL or VQ when we’re there.

And that’s that for now! Plans are always subject to change once we get there, but I like to have a rough outline of our plans before we start our vacation.
